Crime Stats -Officer Daniel Nevarez
1. Daniel went over the recent stats – CBD robberies/thefts/car burglaries are up
2. Police presence has increased at the library area
Guest Speaker-Susie Marshall of Market Provisions/Grow North Texas
1. They support food production and access, carrying local North TX items, seasonal produce 7 days/week, chemical free
2. Also supporting Cocina Latina, WIC farm stands (only B30 vouchers per program AprilOct each year}, Owenwood Farm Space far E. Dallas, SNAP Acceptance (food stamps}
3. Working on a weekly produce share to procure a package produce for the week
Code Compliance-Officer Johnny Garcia
1. They are continuing combating graffiti and homeless encampment sites
2. Use the SeeSayNow App, and make reports to 311
3. Officer Brian Cruz is safety patrol for the Market 5:30 to 1:00 am -use the SeeSayNow App, including trash/dean team situations
4. Albert Sanchez/DD! oversees the safety patrol and homeless outreach team (he’s a former 10-yr. Dallas police Sgt.); City/DDI granting PhD to study homeless situation
5. The library homeless situation is a delicate one
Upcoming Events -Lawrence Sweeney
1. Parks for Downtown Dallas doing a presentation in May on the new Harwood Park
2. Still waiting on Todd Interests to make an FMSA presentation
Stewpot -Brenda Snitzer
1. Giving weekly tours of the Stewpot
2. Will email the info to Lawrence to send out to the FMSA
