- Crime Stats
- Matt Songer, our Dallas Police representative, briefly went over the crime stats
- Matt introduced Jose Ruiz with Code Compliance
- Jose spoke about recent gang taggings around the neighborhood
- Anti-panhandling ordinance has been instituted; we were encouraged to use the 311 app for reporting panhandling issues
- Coffee with Cops with be held 3/24/18 from 9am – 11am at 407 N. Lamar
- DPD is hiring – Matt encouraged us to put out the recruitment efforts – requirements are 45 college hours and you must be 20 ½ years of age
- Downtown Residents Council
- Jeannine Jiral (DRC Chair) spoke on behalf of the DRC
- DRC promotes downtown Dallas and events
- FMSA representatives were encouraged to join the DRC
- The Market
- Nancy Barber (Director of the Market) provided a brief update
- The new lofts and retail are scheduled to be done December 2018
- Footsal Fields is scheduled to be done late May 2018
- Urban Goods should be stocked in the next 30 days
- Way finding signs approved; getting them installed is to be determined
- Marketing
- New FMSA t‐shirts and Perks Cards were provided
- Matt Vermillion proposed a 5K run/walk with surrounding neighborhoods (Cedars/Deep Ellum/Downtown Dallas), and a post‐race party at the Market
